Creating a market survey is a great way to test a market and also find out what your potential customers actually want by asking them questions. This was developed by Frank Kern and Ed Dale in a conference called the underachievers.

The concept is that you set up what is called a fly catcher and then drive traffic to the page using google adwords for a short period say a week. As people fill in the form and ask question you can gather them all and you should have a good idea of what to base your product, website and ad campeign around. You then create your product to answer the questions. You will also use the questions in your website.

Open the flycatcher template.

Here is the site for making the php form

The main reason the Internet is so powerful is that you can test your market and do a lot of research for free.

Lets face it if you think you have a good market but can't get anyone to respond to your flycatcher then possibly the product is not as good as you thought.

Remember always do your homework.

1. Pick your idea.

2. See how many people actually search your key phrases for your idea.

3. Do your research - use all the tools like overture, Google, Yahoo,  go to amazon and see if there are books on the topic, magazines in the newsagents, newsgroups and forums etc. This will show you if there is actually anybody out there interested in your product.

4. Do a market survey - flycatcher.

5. Gather all your data and now you can make an informed decision.

6. If everything pans out start to create your product.

7. Build your website and start to pre sell - send out teasers and get people to sign up for the release.

8. Get all your admin set up like payment, affiliate promotions, downloads or deliveries, bonuses etc.

9. See if you can do some JV's in pre release.

10. Release your product, send out some press releases, see if you can organize some interviews etc.

11. Upgrade your product every 6 months to keep it alive and maybe add on a membership site to the product.

So this is the process in a nutshell. Once you have mastered it simply repeat the process. I usually have 3 projects all running together. One I have just released - one I am developing and one in the initial stages. I try and do 4 projects a year.

I hope this helps and lays out a good foundation for you.

Don't Quit Yet... It Gets Easier! - Internet Business Strategies.

by John Colanzi

I remember when I first came online. It was such a different world. The big breakthrough when I was in college, were those key punch machines.

Man, this was a whole new world, I was overwhelmed by how much I didn't know. It seemed I would never get the hang of it.

Luckily I had an offline business to keep me going. You wouldn't believe how many times I felt like throwing in the towel.

This was a world for techies, not for a dinosaur like me.

HTML and all the other terms were a foreign language. The more I studied, the dumber I felt.

Have you felt like that?

Do you still feel like that?

Well you're not alone. Building an online business is like anything else. It gets easier with practice. When you first start on the ride up the hill to financial freedom, the only thing you see is the steep climb ahead. This is where the average person throws up their hands and quits. What a shame.

If you just put in some time and effort your view would change.

In the beginning you're like a little child walking through the woods. As the walk continues the child has trouble keeping up with his father.

The father can't understand why the child is having problems. The path is clear and there are no obstacles in sight.

A little farther along the father bends down to find out what's wrong. It finally hits him.

He's looking at a different world. The child being closer to the ground can't see very far ahead. The travel seems so perilous.

When you first start your climb up the hill, you're so close to the ground, you don't have a clear view of the climb ahead. Once you start taking your first tentative steps up the hill, your view will become slightly clearer. Every step you take up the hill reveals more and more of the big picture. Keep climbing and you'll see a whole new world.

You don't have to be a genius. You just have to keep climbing.

Don't quit, it will get easier.

In the words of Napoleon Hill, "The Ladder Of Success is never crowded at the top."

So keep climbing. A whole new world awaits.

Wishing You Success,

John Colanzi
