CREATING
A WEB PAGE
| Creating
web pages is really quite easy and you should not be
concerned about how to do the various functions as we
cover everything you will need to know. There will be
some practical work to help you with each step. It is
also important to know that a web page is never
finished. They are always works in progress. As you
learn more you will want to add more features. |

When I
first started I had some text and a graphic on one page. Over
time this has now blossomed into over 65 different sites, 500
pages and multiple graphics and audio and some video. I have created pages for large
companies, organizations and also individuals. I had no one to
help me or provide information like you have here.
LEARNING
OUTCOMES
After
completing this workshop you will be able to compile a web
site with a dozen or so pages complete with graphics, links
and text. You will also be able to capture your visitors
e-mail addresses and publish your pages to a website. We will
use one of the free hosting programs for this. You will
also learn ways to promote and advertise your site to generate
traffic.

you can progress at your own pace. Do the examples and
practice. Once you feel confident in each section
branch out and try some other ways of doing the same
thing. |
Don't be scared
of making mistakes because in most cases you can choose the
undo function to take you back. This is especially useful when
building pages as you can have a look at what it looks like
first and if you don't like it you can try something
different. Remember to save your work.
THE
WORKSHOP
The workshop is
the core of this package and is a fully interactive set of
pages that will help you learn most of the major skills
required to produce professional pages. While a little bit of
computer knowledge and some artistic flare are preferable I
have tried to accommodate every type of user.
You will find
ways of building web pages with little or no artistic skill by
using templates and graphic resources. There are many other
sites that provide this type of information however very few
give you the opportunity to practice as you are reading. Also
by using certain software you can bypass the need for learning
html. This means you can have a site up and running in a few
hours. Each lesson will continue with a link like the one
below.
In the new
section we have added you can also set up a fully functional
data base driven dynamic website however you will still need
to know the various functions provided in this workshop.

The basics for
a great website is as follows.
- Have a
great product or service. This may be your own
products or affiliate products. It also maybe your local
sporting or social group.
- Create a
functional web site.
- Accept
Credit Card Payments
- Automate
delivery as much as possible
- Follow Up
and provide outstanding service
Before we

One
thing I learnt about butterflys when I was young is that you
cannot help them to much.
I remember seeing a butterfly strugling to get free from its
cocoon and it was almost free so I pulled out my pen knife and
cut the cords holding the butterfly back.
Unfortunately after a few minutes it was on the ground dead.
Many years later I learnt that the strength the butterfly
expends to get free if the same strength it needs to stay
free.
So many people want the quick fix and dont realize that what
they are going through now often provides the knowledge and
strength to maintain the freedom they gain.
Bypass the problems and pain and in most cases you will have
to go through it again or just loose that opportunity.
I just finished reading a report on people who have won
lotteries or received huge insurance payouts. Most of them
after 5 years are back to where they were before they won or
are worse off.
Why?
Simply because they had not got the strength it takes most of
us to get the freedom. They bought a big house but forgot with
big houses comes big bills and responsabilities. So eventually
they had no strength to keep the freedom.
Susan Bradley, who authored "Sudden Money: Managing a
Financial Windfall," says winners get into trouble
because they fail to address the emotional connection to the
windfall.
"There are two sides to money. The interior side is the
psychology of money and the family relationship to money. The
exterior side is the tax codes, the money allocation,
etc."
"The goal is to integrate the two. People who can't
integrate their interior relationship with money appropriately
are more likely to crash and burn," says Bradley.
"Often they can keep the money and lose family and
friends -- or lose the money and keep the family and friends
-- or even lose the money and lose the family and
friends."
Bill Pomeroy, a certified financial planner in Baton Rouge,
La., has dealt with a number of lottery winners who went
broke.
"Because the winners have a large sum of money, they make
the mistake of thinking they know what they're doing. They are
willing to plunk down large sums on investments they know
nothing about or go in with a partner who may not know how to
run a business."
Internet marketing is very similar in that there are
huge windfalls to be made but just remember that the problems
and pain you are going through now will give you the strength
you will need later to maintain the freedom you get. Before we
