Hosting is a critical part of any Internet business. When I started I used to use a lot of free hosting packages however as my business grew they were not suitable. What I decided was to find good quality hosting that I could also sell to cover my hosting expenses. I had become used to having free hosting and wanted to keep it up. It has now become a good income generator and I have not paid any hosting costs for the past three years. I have nearly 10 hosting accounts and all pay for themselves.

What is Reseller Hosting?

Reselling, or reseller web hosting, is selling web hosting to your customers under your own brand when the web hosting is provided by a larger company. This larger company is selling you a large web hosting account which you then break apart to sell as smaller quantities to your clients.

Example:

You buy a reseller web hosting package with 1,000 MB disk space and 1,000 MB bandwidth. You then break this into 10 separate accounts with 100 MB disk space and 100 MB bandwidth each and then you sell these smaller packages to your customers. So if you sell each of these packages for $10.00 dollars a month you would be making $100.00 and your only cost is the reseller web hosting package which cost $15.00 a month. So your total profit would be $85.00 a month. To summarize, reseller web hosting is the act of buying a large web hosting plan or dedicated server and then breaking it into smaller parts to resell to your clients. This definition is rather simple but you now understand the basic meaning.

One obvious example is web design. If you have a web design business, you already have a client base that needs web hosting for the sites you are creating for them. Why not let them buy it from you instead of someone else? Offering this service can be a great way to create some recurring income from otherwise one time clients. Providing web hosting also allows you to offer a complete web package with both the design and hosting which might help attract more business. Many potential customers do not have the time or the knowledge find a designer, a host, and communication between them. These customers will be more likely to buy from someone who can handle all aspects of their site. This also allows you to be available for future design jobs for your clients in the future as you have constant communication with them instead of just disappearing after their first site design.

Though the advantages for web designers are abundant, many businesses can benefit from reselling web hosting. If you already have web traffic or a client base, you've already got a lot of potential customers. Starting an image host, blog hosting, message board hosting or any service with a recurring incoming is a great way to make some money. If you've got customers or traffic it might be a great opportunity.

Another way to do it.

I joined a company that gave me all the features I needed and then some, and also paid me $10US for every one I signed up. They handle all the accounts and send me a check every month which more than covers my hosting payment. I didn't even have to have a credit card facility.

So there you have it. I pay $24.95US and I sold three hosting packages which gives me $30US and that means I have the best for free. You sell 100 and you earn $1,000US.

I live in Australia so I thought I could get a better deal locally however there wasn't one to compare. If you can find one send it to me please. Yes Host4Profit do host Australian domains but they cannot register one for you. If you want lots of space (300mb), no setup fees and the need for speed and service then look no further.

Oh by the way. Yes I do practice what I preach. You are viewing this on a Host4Profit hosting site. I never try and sell what I am not already using myself.

Still doubt - A few tid bit from our forum.

Each and every month new members come to this forum and begin their process of learning. It's a long road filled with frustration after frustration. It sometimes seems that everyone else is making money online but they are keeping their secrets to themselves.

Well, today I checked my biz mailbox and once again, like every month, there it was. My check from Host4Profit. No, I am not getting rich off of it BUT (and this is a HUGE but) I have not ever really gone out of my way to promote it. I simply placed some ads in my own newsletter and made a few sales. At $10 for each sale per month, needless to say it ads up quickly. It is like "found money".

There is a moral here to all of those seeking ways of making money online. Promote the Warriors and especially Host4Profit. Even if you only tell your friends and family about it and end up with say 5 sales, that is $50 per month or $600/year. Take that $50/month and invest it wisely in other online endeavours and...well...you get the idea.

Bottom line. How do you sell Host4Profit and the Warriors? Answer....you don't. It will sell itself. Attention all new comers. (Sounds better than "newbies") This is THE one thing you should start out marketing. And if you are reading this, you are an affiliate already!

OK, well...I will step down from the soapbox now. I'll bet that there are dozens of other Warriors out there that would tell you the same thing. Trouble is, we simply don't say it enough.

I have to agree with you. The programs such as H4P that offer monthly residuals can help pyramid your monthly income.

I divide my programs into two categories.

1. The programs that generate upfront profits to cover expenses and to live off.

2. The programs that offer monthly recurring income are the internet version of the IRA.

The programs in number two can just keep building month after month and offer a better ROI than any bank or mutual fund could give.
