  This is how you set the table. Notice I left a bit of room from the edge

 

I set this at 100   You can use three tables to control the layourt even more.

I set the one on the left in yellow (for demo only) at  20

I have also set the margins in the page properties to "0" left margin.

I then turn off the border size by setting it to "0" as well and there you have it. You can't see the border and the text stays in the right place for the side bar.
